Vaginal Mesh Lawsuits
Full Video Transcript
Several women have filed lawsuits against manufacturers of vaginal mesh for serious injuries and complications suffered after pelvic organ prolapse surgery. Vaginal mesh is used to treat pelvic organ prolapse by surgically implanting the mesh to reinforce the vaginal wall when pelvic organs prolapse, or bulge into the vagina. Vaginal mesh can cause serious and painful side effects, and patients have not always been made aware of all of the risks. On July 13, 2011, the FDA issued a statement to health care providers and patients warning of the risks associated with vaginal mesh. If you have experienced painful side effects as a result of a vaginal mesh surgery, call an experienced attorney today.
