There are many ways a non-U.S. citizen can legally work in the United States. One of those ways is through an EB-5 Visa, also known as an investor visa. The EB-5 Visa program was created by congress in 1990 as a way to stimulate the U.S. economy by enticing foreign investors to invest in new commercial enterprises and create jobs for qualified U.S. workers. In return for a substantial investment in a new U.S. commercial enterprise and job creation, the foreign investor can petition the United States Citizenship and Immigration Service for permanent resident status. To find out more about the EB-5 Visa program or to get the process started, contact an experienced EB-5 attorney today.
