Avandia

Full Video Transcript

Avandia is a drug manufactured by Glaxo Smith Kline and approved by the FDA in 1997 for the treatment of type 2 diabetes. Unfortunately, this drug has been shown to possibly cause fluid retention in the body, which may lead to heart attacks and strokes. As a result, the FDA has over the years restricted who is eligible to receive the drug, and has also updated the drug warnings labels to notify users of the risks. However, as of early 2011, Avandia is still marketed and available in the United States. If you have taken Avandia and have suffered a heart attack or stroke, you may be eligible for compensation. Consult with an experienced attorney to discuss your legal options.
