Hostile Environment Force You to Quit Work

Full Video Transcript

Employees who quit their jobs because of sexual harassment or an otherwise hostile work environment may have a cause action for what's called constructive discharge.  If the employee can prove that he or she was the victim of harassment, discrimination, or even retaliation for the same, and that the conditions were so intolerable that any reasonable person in a similar situation would have felt no choice but to quit as well, then he or she may be entitled to the same compensation as if he or she was outright fired for it.
